Many are feeling hopeless about Christianity and church. You look around and you see so many problems and so many are big and unfixable. You get overwhelmed by it all. Then, because you cannot effect change, you get hopeless.
But there is another way of looking at this!
Hopelessness often comes when we look at the macro level because we are powerless to change that. But if you look at the micro level, you have agency and influence to impact things at that level. You are also better able to clearly see God work at that level. And when you see God work, it gives us more hope!
So I encourage you, when you feel hopeless, to get to work and pay attention to your local community, neighbors, household, even your own self and see the good that is happening there!
