What does he mean? Can you give me some examples?
A Psalm of orientation is one that look at the bright side of life. An excellent introduction to the psalms is Mark Futato’s Transformed by Praise.

Futato has also written Interpreting the Psalms: An Exegetical Handbook which is good, it covers the same material as the one mentioned above but is more textbookish. His commentary on the Psalms should be coming out this year sometime.
