One of the things I like about Chrome is that you can just type anything you want into the address line and it “googles it” for you. Well, you can do that in firefox too. Here is how you do it (HT).
1 – Edit about:config by just typing that into your firefox address line (Just so you know there will be a warning when you try to edit this file so do it at your own risk…I had zero problems from this.)
2 – Type keyword.url into the search box at the top of that window. Right click it and click “Modify”
3 – Edit out whatever default search engine you have there (probably yahoo) and put this in its place www.google.com/search?hl=en-GB&q=
There you have it.
