These two words have been running through my mind for quite some time. Many of the issues we face as individuals and as churches are a direct result of not being in tune with one or both of these. Being spiritually-minded or tune with the Holy Spirit would save us a lot of headaches. Being mutual in our approach to serve, to love and to care for each other would also save us a lot of headaches.
But there is more to this than avoiding problems…embracing these two things would enable us to better engage the world around us with the Gospel, inform our worship, sharpen our focus and improve the ethos of our congregations.
