Not what I expected! How about you? Whenever people visit a congregation seeking Jesus, what do they find? Do they find a people whose heart are set on God, a people transformed? Do they find a cruciform church? Do they find Christ there? Or do they find a social club? Do they find platitudes and moralisms? Do they find us going through the motions but walk out the door and we are just like everyone else? If people come seeking Jesus I sure hope they find Him among God’s people. In order for that to happen we have to be very intentional about keeping Christ first and foremost in all we do. Make Him obvious. Get rid of all the distractions.
