Living Between the Smith’s and the Jones’

We just realized today that our next door neighbors are the Smiths on the right and the Jones on the left. We have known them for three years but somehow that irony escaped us until today. While we know both families pretty well it made me wonder, if this small thing had escaped my notice even after three years of living next to them, talking to them, and even being in their homes, what else have I missed about them? Do you know your neighbors? Do they know you are a Christian? Do you know if they are Christians? I wonder how often we miss out on the people who live 50 feet away while we are concerned for people on the other side of the world.
