Gay Friendly Version of the Bible?

December 2nd, 2008 · No Comments · Bible, Bible Translations, Biblical Interpretation, Christianity, Religion

Dr. Claude Mariottini posted today about a new “translation” of the Bible that is pro-homosexual. It even starts off with Adam and Eve both being female. I sure hope this is some sort of joke, satire, or a spoof. Here is the link. As I commented on his blog, this is one more version of someone deciding in advance what they think the Bible should say rather than taking an honest look at the text(s) and letting them shape our opinions. Here is the official site of the Princess Diana Bible.

Guess they never read Revelation 22..””For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book.”

When those words were first written down there was NO BIBLE… please do some research on how the Bible was made. It makes no logical sense to quote from within a book to determine the “righteousness” of that book. It’s like me saying, “I say I am an amazing person, so it is so…”. EVERY place that it mentions “God’s Word” was during a time were very few books were ever written down and it was from ORAL society…. so guess what they meant?? God’s SPOKEN WORD to the Prophets…NOT THE BIBLE WE HAVE TODAY.

Am I saying the Bible is not the Word of God? No… but it is NOT inerrant OR infallible…. that is why we need the Holy Spirit to direct us as to how to live.

Actually Jen, there was a Bible when that was written. John would have said the Bible was the OT. Paul’s Bible was the LXX. Now, John was probably referring to Revelation when he pinned those words and was not applied as was done in the comment above.

This is obviously a publicity stunt by a movie maker to get his lame movie some publicity. The movie is an overly sarcastic comedy and it appears that everything about the Princess Diana Bible is in the same vein. Fifteen minutes and it will be gone.

Yes – this is obviously a publicity stunt as evidenced by their official website (and a pretty good one too barring the fact that ITS BLASPHEMY) :p
