This video hits close to home for me because this morning I have been talking on the phone with a husband (who is a dear friend of mine from the past) and his wife who told him last Sunday she had an affair. This information is very relevant and no longer deserves the place of being the ten ton elephant in the room. This video was shot at my alma mater, the University of Florida, and contains some really interesting (and sad) video clips of college students talking about divorce. It also contains commentary from the likes of Willard Harley (His Needs, Her Needs), John Van Epp (How to Avoid Marrying a Jerk), and Michele Weiner-Davis (The Sex Starved Marriage).
Thanks to my wonderful wife for sending me this link. And don’t worry, she does marriage education for a living and reviews these kinds of things all the time. She didn’t send this to me out of the blue!

It’s really powerful. I’ve gone through tough times in my marriage as well and probably the best advice I got was “It’s not 50/50, it’s 100/100”
I think that advice is relevant to Christian living as well. We want to give 50% to God and wait on Him to give the other.
I fail daily but it giving 100% without expecting anything in returen seems to be a goal worth striving for.
I hope your friends can work things out.

And not one marriage fails where Christ is asked to enter, as lovers come together with Jesus at the center.
But marriage seldom thrives, and homes are incomplete, till He is welcome there to help avoid defeat.
In homes where Christ is first, It’s obvious to see those unions really work. For marriage still takes three.
