MercyMe – So Long Self Video

I have heard this MercyMe song on the radio over and over again but never really listened to the words. They are powerful. The video helps capture the message of the song – Once we meet the one who is really worthy and who it is all really about, Jesus Christ, we have to put ourselves aside and put Him first. So you see in the video that their selfish selves (in black) try to interfere with their lives. The selfish side doesn’t want to hear it (hands over the ears) or just plain ignores it (by turning their back) but it really doesn’t matter because the decision has been made and Christ will be followed.
