What Does the Bible Say About Family Values?

When you type this into google the first hit (as well as a few other hits) is a website that says the Bible is anti-family. The site goes on to quote numerous scriptures totally out of context. In a series of posts, I am going to spend a little time working through what they said and showing how it is unfounded. I also want to take a post or two to give a fuller picture of what the Bible says about the family.

So, I would definately say that the Bible is full of family values and how God designed the family to function. The Bible definately isn’t anti-family. I thank God for the family that I have every day I live. Matt, I also am keeping you in my prayers brother as your family is about to grow. God bless you as become a father. There is no greater joy.

    1. thanks brother you quoted good quotations about what the Bible says for Christ center family.

  2. I just want to say I am thankful you did this website. I did a google search for “What does the Bible say about families” and the first site that came up made me sick. Thank you for taking the time to bring the truth to someone’s ignorance and blasphemy.

  3. Hi, I’m glad I found this. I have been searching for verses related to parents and their children. I need something to open someones eyes. He used to be a good Christian man until after the death of his wife. He still things he is but he has changed and even more since he is dating again (only months after the death). He has 6 kids, 2 who still lived at home. He has been neglecting them, especially the 9yr old. He would spend 3-4 nights out of the week at her house, all his time would be for her and the biggest issue is when the older kids try talking to him about it he doesn’t see it. He feels his kids are being used to Satan to break them up. Some of the kids came across messages between their dad and his now fiance’ stating that if his kids come between them, his kids would be dead to him. He used to word hate referencing them too. He has lost relationships with most of his grown children because of this. They don’t know what to do. The youngest has told her siblings that she doesn’t feel like he is her father anymore and has begged the oldest to take and raise her… They feel lost and fear their father is lost too.

  4. I am pioneering a Church in India, searched for BIBLICAL FAMILY VALUES graciously found your TRUMPET VOICE website. Blessed and Comforted to know still there are people who have high regard, ZEAL for the WORD of GOD.
May GOD bless you to continue your good work.
