Graceful Blogging

Helped by this? Tell a Friend! ---->

I am so happy that our Christian blogging community is pretty civil. Have you ever looked at any of the political blogs out there? I posted a comment on one of them the other day and someone replied by calling me an idiot. I may not be a political genius (nor do I want to be) but I think name calling is pretty childish, negative, and spiteful. It is really pretty amazing that those blogs get hundreds of comments per post when people thrash each other like that. I won’t be reading any of those again any time soon.

I just wanted to take a moment to say that I feel really at home with those who have come by, commented, etc. I just want to say thank you for being a blessing to me. Thank you for being graceful bloggers. Thank you for feelings your views are important enough to express. Thank you for opposing viewpoints, disagreements, etc. I certainly hope that I have responded in kind to each and every one of you. God bless you and keep up the good work.

“Matt, you engender that type of response…”

    Wait a minute…Just kidding!

Thanks John. Just like the old commercials used to say, “I learned it from watching you okay!” I am standing on the shoulders of blogging giants and on one greater than all the rest. God bless

  2. I am glad that the Christian blog-sphere is kind and civil. Something would be wrong if it were any different. We should, if we have the love of God in us, be able to make critical comments without trashing and smereing others making comments.

  3. Matt,
I want you to know that I have been bless by your blog.
It has encouraged and built up my faith in Jesus Christ.
On Sunday nights I come home after preaching and turn on the computer and read blogs that I know are going to strengthen me. Yours is definately one of those brother. I want to know that I have been praying for you and your ministry as well as your new addition to your family. Keep up the great job you are doing on your blog.
    In Him,
    Kinney Mabry
