I am preaching on Jonah this morning. I wanted to throw out the fact that Jonah got God’s first command right. It was the second one he goofed on.
Jonah begins, “The word of the Lord came to Jonah son of Amittai saying, “Arise, Go to Nineveh that great city and cry out against it for their wickedness has come up before me.” And Jonah arose…to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. He went down to Joppa and found a ship going to Tarshish.”
Jonah got the arise part right. 🙂

I in my life have learn one lesson from Jonah and that is you can’t run from God. 🙂
