Ingratitude

Helped by this? Tell a Friend! ---->

I heard a story on the radio this morning about a family who is suing some rescue workers for not saving their relative fast enough. An elderly lady drove her car into a river and was trapped underwater for 30 minutes in her car while rescue workers attempted to save her. When they finally got her out her heart had stopped beating. They were able to resuscitate her but her life has never been the same due to brain damage from lack of oxygen to her brain. Now, four years later, the family is suing the rescue workers for not doing enough.

It is pretty shocking how ungrateful some people can be. Sometimes all it takes is a simple thank you and an appreciation that someone did all they could even if it wasn’t 100% successful. What is even more shocking is that what God has done for us is 100% successful and yet sometimes aren’t as thankful as we should be. I know many times we are. Many times we pray prayers of thankfulness and realize that God has done so much for us. But I am sure that for many of us, myself included, there are times we withhold our thanks and things get gloomy and we fail to realize that we have so much to be thankful for. Show God your gratitude today and not just through prayers. The ultimate way to show God we are thankful is to show others the love God has showed us in an unselfish manner.

“While we were still sinners, Christ died for the ungodly.” – Romans 5:8. Now that is something I can be grateful for!
