There are so many things to love about God. The psalms are full of praises of God in all sorts of areas and in all sorts of situations. There are several psalms that are acrostics including psalm 119 that has 8 lines for each of the 22 letters of the “aleph”bet. Other psalms form an acrostic across two sequential psalms (psalm 111-112). The importance of the acrostic was to show the completeness of different aspects of God and his loving kindness. We have a lot to love about God today. Let’s do something a little more interactive and create an acrostic of things we love about God. Rhyming is a bonus. I will get it started. I will update the post as you add letters.
Here is what we have so far:
All-sufficiency is one thing we love.
Blessing – He has blessed me with so much.
Cares – He cares so much for all of us that He would give the very best He had to
get us to care for Him too.
Dedication – “God demonstrated His love for us in this, While we were still sinners,
Christ died for us”. He keeps pursuing us even when we run away.
Ears – His ears are always open to listen for his children.
Forgiveness – He forgave us our sins.
