Jesus’ Most Important Question For You to Move Ahead With Your Life

is found in John 5. Jesus is at the pool of Bethesda in Jerusalem where he sees a man who had been an invalid 38 years.

As you examine Jesus’ question to the man, I want you to replace that man with you. Picture yourself there. Picture the infirmity as whatever it is that keeps you from moving ahead with your life. Listen to Jesus as he asks you this critical question. Here it is,

“Do you want to get well?”

That sounds like a stupid question. Of course he does!

But it isn’t stupid at all. Some of us have been paralyzed for years. Paralyzed by relationships. Paralyzed by fear. Paralyzed by our past.

“Do you want to get well?”

Or would you rather give the power to your condition? If you give the power to your condition you can play the victim card and have an excuse as to why you aren’t moving on with your life.

It is better to be well and fail than to be paralyzed by something and never know what would have happened if you had been made well.

“Do you want to get well?”

Jesus said this in John 8:31-32,

“To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

It is time to be free. But first you have to let Jesus make you well.
