I just read this paper on Children’s ministry and wanted to pass it along. It is the result of a 6 month study by Doug Paul and the Eikon Community Church. There are some really helpful tips in here and some great information. One of the most interesting things they found was that kids were more likely to stick with it if their parents were non-Christian than if their parents were Christians who didn’t care about the discipling of their kids. Wow! This is a push away from consumer-driven approaches to Children’s ministry and a push toward defining success and then partnering the church with the parents in achieving it with their children.
